Let’s celebrate together the Event of Jusus Christ
（P. Raniero Card. Cantalamessa, ofmcap）
These days, dear brothers and sisters, mark the beginning of a unique decade in the history of the world and of the millennium. We are 10 years away from the second millennium of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The event that changed the history of the world and our personal history. I may not be here, but I entrust you to bring to Jesus my thanks, my joy, and my admiration. So, together, let us go through the time we must prepare for this event.
So, we wish to work these coming 10 years with a special faith and attention to fulfill the dreams that Jesus himself taught us in the Gospel.
The values of the Gospel are precious gifts for all humanity. Proclaiming the gospel and practicing it can change the world starting with ourselves.
We want to get down to work now, praying, building community, well-being, peace, and justice.
(Br. James SHIN San-Huyn)
God gave us enormous natural cultural and spiritual resources. No doubt for a purpose.
It is an opportunity to share talents, ideas and inspirations.
(Card. Kevin Farrell)
This is the moment, when we need, after 2000 years from The Life of Christ here on earth
that we now come together as one community and put into practice those words and deeds that Christ gave and inspired into the hearts of each one of us.
We propose a shared International agenda with whatever God inspires Us in preparation for 2033.
(Dr. Linda Ghisoni)
It will not be a matter of inventing new missions or new apostolates, but of orienting them toward the vision of 2033.
Jesus desires to see us celebrate together, united in our diversity.
(Fr. Alecandre Awi Mello)
All Christians building a Civilization of Love.
(Eva Fernandez Mateo)
We all have a part in this construction.
What are the newspaper headlines you would like to read in 2033?
What is your role in this working agenda toward 2033 that is already beginning?
What can you begin to do, starting tomorrow? Have you thought about it?
